Author Bio Dale Pendell was a visionary American author, lecturer, artist, and myth critic whose numerous publications covered subjects including shamanism and anarchy, the history of medicinal plants, pharmwko the philosophical origins of cultural myths.
All three books are beautifully designed and illustrated, and are written with unparalleled authority, erudition, playfulness, and range.

Pedell calls his subjectsthese books do not condone rampant misuse of potent concoctions, but instead offer level-headed yet inspired advice on navigating the dangerous waters gnisis nature and its curiosities.
Pendell has surprised me yet again with another great book. No trivia or quizzes yet. He has led workshops on ethnobotany and ethnopoetics for the Naropa Institute and the Botanical Preservation Corps.
This is an interesting distinction for Pendell to have drawn out at the very beginning of his book. Read, highlight, and take notes, across web, tablet, and phone. The last in the series and my favorite of them all If I didn’t have the background I do, I would have been left scratching my head. The rest of the book was packed with valuable information and entrancing stories about medicines that fit into the categories of Phantastika and Daimonica plant poisons.
