Having said that, it isn’t his best book by far. There was not much to be learned from this book, other than the author’s character. And readers who khushwannama poetry both English and Urdu, don’t read any other book because this libido of a writer comes out and quotes the choicest verses and couplets every now and then that will make you dumbfounded.

Really hope he still has that one final novel left in him he was talking about Okay Khushwant ji, we love you and all, we do realize you’re khushwatnama 99 this year, but that does myy mean you feed us the same articles over and over again. Readers, however,might find it debatable to get down his argument on Indian politics and partition of India and Pakistan.
For me it was like looking down from the top of the mountain you’ve meticulously climbed over the years. The compilation of lessons or principles he followed which gave him utmost contentment is the highlight of this book.

Not up to the standards set by Khushwant Singh in his previous books. This is actually the third or the fourth time we are fed a similar khushawntnama, 1.
