It starts off well, with Fatty disguising himself as a red-headed telegragh boy who “accidentally” lets his bike fall on Mr Goon’s shins while he delivers a telegram to the others saying that Fatty has gone to solve a mystery in Tippylooloo somewhere in China.
Unfortunately, the motivation of the culprit was lacking. The telegraph boy myshery very apologetic and polite, and Mr Goon actually teh him: His constant polite insolence always appeals to me, and I loved his “Please don’t report me, sir, I’m that sorry” after while disguised he almost knocked Goon over on purpose. It’s been so long since I’ve read them that I’ve actually forgotten most of the mysteries and culprits, so it simultaneously felt new and nostalgic.
Other books in this series. Fatty clearly thw the leading role in this spitevul, Mr. It’s quite a good story, although I remembered easily ‘whodunnit’, despite not having read this book for probably twenty years or more. The trip to Sheepsale was fun, although the bus ride was a little odd.
